Clark Root portrays E.H. Albee during the Oak Hill Cemetery Walk scheduled for Saturday, June 13th. Eleazar H. Albee (1816-1895) was the station agent for the North West Stagecoach Company headquartered in Fort Dodge and during the tour he tells stories about stage travel in early Iowa.
During the 80 minute guided tour visitors will meet 8 historic, costumed "characters" as portrayed by Fred Kesten, Clark Root, Barbara Wallace Hughes, Kevin Rogers, Cheryl Sherry, Susan Ahlers Leman, John Bonner and Jesse Helling. Shuttles depart every 10 minutes, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located at 1436 21st Avenue North. Admission is $5 per person with proceeds used for Cemetery preservation. Sponsored by the Friends of Oakland Cemetery and for more information contact FD Parks and Rec Department 576-7237.
