Holding The American Economy For Ransom

How did we reach a point in time where if a big time CEO fails in running their business, they look to the American taxpayer to bail them out? How did the American taxpayer become their solution?

It feels like our standard of living is being held for ransom; save us or the economy "gets it".

I wonder how many CEO's from the big banks, the auto industry, and the oil industry would be willing to help fund the bailouts by throwing… Continue

Who would've thought...

Wow - the first black president. Amazing. Even though I am only 42 I never thought that I would ever see a day when race DIDN'T define someone. Thank God I was able to see that early enough in my lifetime to realize that maybe the race barriers are finally broken and people can be recognized for WHO they ARE and WHAT they have to offer as a person.

People are by nature diverse, each of us with our own unique personality, genetic makeup - etc. That is what makes humans such an amazing… Continue

A Basset full of Memories

Today is a tough day. One of those days - like all days that begins like every other day - getting out of bed. And that is when life REALLY begins. I think that every minute of life is a memory being created - it is just how we choose to remember those moments that defines our life. Today is a day that willl be defined by sadness, wonderful memories, family and love - all because of a Basset Hound. Bonnie Basset - almost made it with us for 14 years - long time for a Basset. My mother - bless… Continue

Pink Hair

So Yesterday...in honor of all my Scouts and Their families achieving our popcorn fundraising sales goal - I finally got Pink hair. And OMG is it bright. Course my lovely daughter is mortified - but not so much that she'll pass up a free meal at Lomita's with her mom:) My son Ethan totally digs it - that is a huge compliment. Quinn is impressed that I had the "balls" to actually put that color on my head. And Dennis - what a dork - according to him it is great because now he feels like he is… Continue
