Great to hear from you!
Hope the graduation went well! Evan graduates from college this coming Sunday, working for a year and paying off some loans and then one we go for who knows how many more years - working towards a Phd. Just saw Jackie this last weekend and our local flea market and talked to Shelly a couple weeks ago. Wish we could get together with you sometime. Stay well and keep in touch!
Marcie:
Just got off the phone after talking to Tresia. She doesn't use email and I didn't have your address or phone number. Her address is 9305 Longvale Drive, Austin 78729-3502 telephone 512-673-0298
Hi:
Tresia is down in Austin Texas and she is involved with interior decorating and sales to contractors etc. She went ot ISU in that field and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York. Worked as a chef in Chicago in a fancy country club and then moved to Washington D.C. and worked in several fancy restaurants. Lousy hours so she went back into interior decorating. All told she was out east for about nine years I guess. Then decided to come back to Iowa, returned to ISU got another degree in Social Work and then worked with teenaged troubled girls in Clinton for 3 years. Burned out there so headed south to Austin Texas. She doesn't cook or bake much now but does help a friend who bakes fancy cakes. I mean fancy. $400 to a couple thousand dollars each. Only in Texas. I will mention you to her when I talk to her. Probably this weekend or so. Spends her free time fishing. She was really excited over a 4 or 5 pound bass that she caught. Usually gets back to Iowa once a year.
It's so nice to hear from you! By the way, you look great, that must be your daughter next to you, she' pretty. I'm not sure if I realized that you ended up in Texas, I bet it's a great place to live.
I'm doing okay, happily married and healthy (as far as I know) but the employment situation here in Minnesota is terrible. It's been 3 years since I've had an steady mechanical engineering work so money is tight--I had the "big bucks" job. Mr. Hewitt's physics class sure brings back memories! I remember how much fun I'd have when I stayed over at your house, your parents were always good to me too. I vividly remember the night we watched "The Fly", it seemed pretty scary at the time.
We've only been home once since we lost Dad last August--that was very hard. Leslie's daughter (Jasmine who, oddly enough, lives in Texas too) is getting married in July and we're having a Larson family reunion that month too, so if you happen to be back you must let me know, it would be really nice to see you!
