Lt. Jeff, Thank you so much for confirming the pictures are still there my mother was very pleased. She grew up at old downtown station and it is nice to know that past was preserved. Thank you so much for responding, Lt. Jeff, my mother has since corrected me and says he died in 1951 she was 17 and the youngest. Unusual name but it was even spelled correctly.

My Grandfather was a Asst. Fire Chief at the time of his death in the 40's and I always wondered when the new station was built if some of the historical pictures from the downtown station were moved to the new facility. My mother is in her mid 70's now and I know she would love to know if any pics of her father are there. His name was Lewzerne Gawtry. I remember as a young child on school field trip to the old station his pic was on a wall.
